Scran Salon is an informal meet up for anyone with a passion for food! It brings together business owners, chefs, producers, writers, promoters, and enthusiastic eaters from across Edinburgh’s vibrant food scene and is a great way to find out more about exciting food related projects happening across the city. Last Monday, Caroline,  John and Gina attended the second Scran Salon at Hemma Bar to mingle with the food lovers of Edinburgh and spread the Dig-In word.

Caroline was invited to be one of the speakers and share the Dig-In story so far.  She gave an update on the share offer, encouraged everyone to buy shares, spread the word and/or volunteer.  We were incredibly encouraged by the number of people who had already heard about Dig-In and the support and interest of people who took postcards and wanted to know more (thank you so much!).

Caroline also spoke to the lovely Emily from the Edinburgh Common Good team and you can hear what she had to say below.

You can also listen to interviews with Scran Salon organiser Blythe Robertson and new community garden The Grove on their podcast channel. Well worth a listen so head over and make sure to also follow them on Twitter and read their blog at www.edincg.wordpress.com

From everyone at Dig-In, thank you for continuing to be so supportive and we’ll see you at the next salon!

Scran Salon takes place on the first Monday of every month. The next Scran Salon will be at Hemma Bar on April 7th. You can find out more and sign up for a place at on the Scran Salon website.
